Nancy DeVetter and the
DeVetter Law Firm

Nancy DeVetter has been clearing criminal records and helping Georgians with their legal issues for 14 years.

Nancy worked in Georgia Legal Services’ Savannah Office for six years as the head of its Record Restriction and Re-Entry Project and as its public benefits expert. She previously spent six years working for Atlanta Legal Aid, focusing on family law, consumer law, public benefits, and housing.

In October 2020, she opened her solo practice – the DeVetter Law Firm. Her practice concentrates on criminal case mitigation (record restriction, sealing court records, First Offender Act issues, and pardons). She also provides services in estate planning and probate litigation.

She received her B.A. from Washington and Lee University in 2003 and her J.D. from Georgia State College of Law in 2008. Nancy is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and lives on Tybee Island with her husband and two children. She also serves on Tybee City Council.
